"　このバックギャモン大会に日本から『ニシザワケンジ』さんが参加し、入賞した。一等賞になったのか三等賞になったのかは分からないが、これが実にいい話題をトルコに提供してくれている。
　入賞者ニシザワケンジさんは賞金５００トルコリラ（２１０００円程度）を、全部慈善団体に寄付したい、と申し出たのだ。しかも、その慈善団体は日本で起こった東北震災の折に、支援活動を活発にしてくれた、トルコの慈善団体キムセヨクムに送りたい、と申し出たのだ。
　彼は入賞して獲得した賞金５００トルコ・リラを、トルコの慈善団体キムセヨクムに寄付するとともに、それに加えて、２５万円を寄付したそうだ。結果的に、このことはトルコで大きな話題となった。"
